Music for Every Event

Cheltenham Jazz Arts can provide live music for all kinds of event through any of the bands listed in our database or by putting together a 'scratch' band of talented, professionals to meet your specific requirements.

Our main area of expertise is in the Jazz/Light Music idiom but if you don't require music in that style maybe you would prefer some chamber music provided by a small group of 'classical' players. We can match your needs with local, respected, experienced musicians.

Education

Cheltenham Jazz Arts is run by experienced, established local music teachers who can offer wide-ranging specialist help:

Exam preparation - we can cover all aspects of music examinations including instrument tuition.

Accompaniment - professional pianists are available to give support to all musicians, from the most nervous beginner right through to diploma candidates.

Aural training - this is essential for personal musical development, building listening and performance skills as well as giving insight into the foundations, techniques and vocabulary of music.

Music Theory - tuition is available for individuals or small groups - both adults and children - based on jazz and/or classical music.
Short courses are available throughout the year.
