Gloucestershire Youth Jazz Orchestra 2

GYJO 2 is an intermediate jazz group for players interested in learning the techniques of playing in the big-band style. Performing and rehearsing challenging music which encompasses all jazz styles, students also have plenty of opportunity to develop their improvising skills.

GYJO 2 is open to all standard big-band instruments.

Gloucestershire Youth Jazz Orchestra

As Gloucestershire's leading youth jazz ensemble GYJO offers high standard players the opportunity to rehearse and perform a varied and demanding library of music. All players must be confident improvisers and enjoy the challenge of playing some modern compositions.

GYJO is a high energy group which demands dedication and commitment.

Junior Jazz

A band for year 4, 5, 6 and 7 pupils who have recently started learning an instrument. We concentrate on improving musicianship by developing auditory skills- learning to play what you hear without relying on written music and playing in a group and responding to others. .
